Synagogue SecurityOn behalf of the Security team, welcome to Jackson's Row. Although we would like to operate an 'open door' policy, but this is not possible at the moment for reasons that are, tragically, all too obvious. To ensure the safety of the congregation and visitors to the synagogue, there is always a security team on site when the building is in use. Any visitors to the building are questioned as a matter of course before being admitted and bags or cases are subject to routine search. We hope you won't be put off by these necessary precautions: that is not the object of the exercise. Our aim is for those in the Shul to know that they are quite safe. So we would ask you please not to be offended if you are stopped, questioned or searched. There is a large security rota and you may not be recognised on every visit if the team is different from one you have met. All members of the team are fully trained in all aspects of security and we work closely with the police and CST, both of which can provide immediate assistance if required. We hope to see you at Jackson's Row soon. Security Officers |
