Welcome from the President

Welcome to our website and to Manchester Reform Synagogue at Jackson's Row, Manchester.

We are a family synagogue and because of our city centre location we attract families from all over Manchester, North, South, East and West. We are unique in being right in the heart of the city centre. Our cheder on Sunday mornings caters for children from the age of 4 right up to bar- and bat- mitzvah. We have adult education classes running during the day, and we also hold evening and weekend classes. We arrange and participate in a range of multi-faith events to help create harmony and understanding with our neighbours .

Jackson's Row is a Reform shul and we belong to the Reform Movement, which represents over 40 synagogues across the UK. we have a strong education and youth policy that enables us to be part of a movement that is growing in both strength and numbers each year. We are a friendly synagogue and we are always happy to meet see new members and make them feel comfortable and welcome. Every Shabbat our service is preceded by coffee and biscuits followed by a Kiddush where you will get the chance to meet other members, members of our Executive and the Rabbi.

Our family services are a must , they are led by the cheder children and the atmosphere is always a fun one followed by a chance to meet other families at the special Kiddush provided.

Our annual family weekend at Hartington Hall in Derbyshire provides both fun and a warm sense of belonging to a large Jewish family, and that's the atmosphere we offer.

If you have any questions about the synagogue about our events or just want to know more please contact me through the synagogue office.
